Family Ride – There and back again, Wilmslow Library to Manchester Airport Viewing Park
Join us for a fun family bike ride from Wilmslow to Manchester Airport – a great way to enjoy the outdoors together!

This is a great short ride using safe cycle paths that’s been specifically designed for families to enjoy as a relaxed ride. The viewing park gives people a great place to stop mid-ride, get a drink and a snack at the café, and watch the planes take off in the shadow of Concorde! Entrance to the viewing park is free for those who are cycling and walking.
Please register for this ride on Eventbrite. We charge £5 per ticket + Eventbrite Admin Fee for a family. This allows us to fund things like our next batch of the popular Wilmslow Cycling Maps, and our other projects and campaigns.
While this is a family ride, we advise that children under 10 need to be in a seat on the back of their parent’s bike or in a trailer due to the nature of the ride – it can take a while for their little legs to get up some of the hills! We also require that children and teens under 16 are accompanied responsible adult.
We will perform a visual quick check of bikes before we ride, however most bike shops in the local area are happy to perform a free or low cost safety check, so feel free to pop in before the ride!
